Kristin is a consultant for Porter Group, a bi-partisan, strategic government affairs consulting firm with offices in Washington, D.C. and Las Vegas. The firm helps clients across the nation in a full range of government relations, advocacy, regulatory and business matters.

As an attorney with a joint J.D./M.B.A., she practiced law for twenty years and served as a managing shareholder in regional and national law firms. Kristin also worked as an executive for one of the nation’s largest telecommunications, broadband and network services companies – Sprint/Embarq/CenturyLink. More recently, she led the State’s largest general business association as President/CEO - the Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce, now the Vegas Chamber. During that time, the Chamber was at the forefront of helping shape the new, post-recession economy through resources provided to businesses and active engagement in high-profile public policy, economic development and infrastructure initiatives.

Kristin has served on numerous boards and councils including the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce (2010 chairman), Leadership Foundation of Greater Las Vegas, Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance (prior to that, the Nevada Development Authority), U.S. Travel Association, U.S. Chamber of Commerce Committee of 100, American Association of Chamber Executives, Western Association of Chamber Executives, 2016 Presidential Debate Steering Committee, Economic Club of Las Vegas, Desert Research Institute Foundation, Foundation for an Independent Tomorrow, United Way of Southern Nevada and American Diabetes Association, and is a member of the Nevada International Women’s Forum. She has served on numerous councils in the areas of education, transportation, tourism, government services and economic development, including the LVCVA’s Transportation Steering and Convention Center District Committees and RTC of Southern Nevada's Transportation Investment Business Plan. She also was appointed by the Governor to serve on the Southern NV Transportation Infrastructure Committee, the group that developed concepts for and successfully advanced legislative proposals for landmark tourism-related, economic development assets including the Raiders stadium and the major expansion and renovation of the Las Vegas convention district.

 Kristin has been privileged to speak publicly before many local, state and national groups and her recognitions include the 2016 Asian American Group (AAG) Community Service Award; 2012 ATHENA® International Leadership Award (Women’s Chamber of Commerce); Nevada Telecommunications Association 2010 Distinguished Service Award for leadership in telecommunications reform legislation; Best Lawyers in America (2005-2006); and “Most Respected CEO’s,” Nevada Business Journal (2005). She graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.S. in Communication Disorders, received two graduate degrees from Santa Clara University, a J.D. (Santa Clara Law Review) and an M.B.A., and is a member of the State Bars of Nevada and California.
