Bruce Spotleson was a career journalist and media executive prior to joining the Museum in June 2019. He previously held senior management positions at four Nevada media companies, including the Tahoe Daily Tribune, Vegas PBS, the Las Vegas Press, and Greenspun Media Group, where he played a role in the launch of numerous local print, broadcast and digital titles.

During his time in media, his weekly newspaper column won first-place awards from the Nevada Press Assn. three times, and he was host of two issues-oriented weekly television programs carried by PBS and Cox affiliates.

Bruce was the 2014 Chairman of the Vegas Chamber, where he served as a trustee for two decades. He was founding Chairman of Spring Valley Hospital Medical Center from 2003-2007 and is a current board member of Nevada HAND, an organization that develops homes and manages supportive services for working families and seniors. A graduate of Leadership Las Vegas, his passions are family, travel and fly fishing.
