Museum on Wheels
We know that field trips to The Neon Museum are not always accessible to all middle schools in the area. If you cannot bring your middle school classroom to learn at the Neon Boneyard, we'll deliver the lessons to Las Vegas middle school teachers through our Museum on Wheels program.
Museum on Wheels is an exciting new program geared towards middle school classrooms that brings the museum right to you! The boxes are free to use for two weeks at a time and are delivered FREE to CCSD middle schools in the Las Vegas area, thanks to our amazing sponsors: MGM Resorts International and Clark County OAG Community Initiatives.
Museum on Wheels contains a teacher handbook with master copies of worksheets, inventory lists, hard copies of PowerPoints, and the lesson plans. Contents also include photographs, books, touchable artifacts, and much more.
Booking a Museum on Wheels
Museum on Wheels are available to reserve online for the 2023/2024 school year to CCSD middle schools. They are available to book with a delivery to school/start date of Mondays only. The last reservations for the school year are on Monday, May 6th, 2024. Please select the Monday you wish to have the box delivered to your school, and the themes available on that date will be displayed. There are some Mondays that are unavailable due to recognized holidays. Museum on Wheels must be booked a week before the desired Monday delivery date.
Returning The Museum on Wheels
The delivery company, STG Logistics, will pick up your Museum on Wheels from your school office on the second Friday after your delivery. All Museum on Wheels reservations are for 12 days. When finished using the contents of your Museum on Wheels, please repack everything neatly with all contents for the next user. Please ensure that the box is packed with all the materials and brought back to the school office the Thursday before the scheduled Friday morning pick up. You will also receive an email reminder to ensure the box is ready for pickup at the scheduled time.
