The Collection
While on a guided tour, we ask that you stay with your interpreter at all times. If you need to leave for any reason, please inform your interpreter and they will request a staff escort. The 2.25-acre campus includes the outdoor exhibition space known as the Neon Boneyard, which features more than 250 signs, several of which are restored, a visitors' center housed inside the former La Concha Motel lobby, and Brilliant!, a light projection exhibit in the North Gallery.
The Neon Museum collection also includes nine restored signs that are installed throughout the city and can be viewed twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Information about these signs is available here. Since its founding in 1996, The Neon Museum has also collected original sign renderings and blueprints, as well as photographs and oral histories, and continues to build its research library and archives. In addition, The Neon Museum also collects sign related ephemera such as matchbooks, ashtrays, postcards, and casino chips.
Neon Boneyard
Founded in 1996, The Neon Museum is a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization dedicated to collecting, preserving, studying and exhibiting iconic Las Vegas signs for educational, historic, arts and cultural enrichment.
North Gallery
The North Gallery sits adjacent to the Museum and showcases more unrestored signs from our collection.
Public Art - Las Vegas Blvd. Scenic Byway
In 1996, The Neon Museum officially “opened” with the installation of its first refurbished sign, the Hacienda Horse and Rider, at the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Fremont Street. In 2023, The City of Las Vegas completed the restoration, reinstallation and reillumination of the 15 neon signs collectively known as The Las Vegas Boulevard Scenic Byway Project.
